Caller: No. The fuse box is in another room, and nobody is in danger.

Griffi: Can you reach the main shut-off safely, and is it already closed?

Caller: Yes, it is closed, but water is still dripping. Please call me back on zero one seven six, one two three four five six seven.

Griffi: Thank you. I recorded the water leak, the closed main valve, and your callback number as an urgent emergency. The emergency-service flat fee is 149 euros. It will be credited if you place an order. I am transferring you to the on-call service now.

Griffi: Good morning, Green and Sons Heating. This is Griffi, our digital assistant. How can I help?

Caller: Good morning, this is Mister Brown. I would like to book the annual service for my boiler, preferably next week.

Griffi: Is this routine maintenance only, or has the boiler currently broken down?

Griffi: Good morning, BrightWire Electrical Limited. This is Griffi, our digital assistant. What can we help with?

Caller: Good morning, this is Miss Taylor. We would like an electric vehicle charger installed in our garage and need a quote.

Griffi: Is this a detached house, and do you already have an intended mounting position?

Caller: Yes. The position is beside the garage door, about twelve metres from the distribution board.

Griffi: A qualified electrician must inspect the installation before a reliable quote. Would Friday at eight work for the site visit?

Caller: Yes, Friday at eight works.

Griffi: Thank you. I recorded the detached house, garage location, roughly twelve metres of cable route, and the appointment. Technical design and price follow only after the professional inspection.

Real pilot case · 4 September 2026 · Schreinerei Schröder

An urgent call reached the business.

A break-in. A door no longer closes. Griffi captures the emergency. Contact with Schreinerei Schröder is established. According to the business, the door was replaced that same day.

“By my rough calculation, one emergency call-out fee brings in more than Griffi costs us.”

Michael Schröder · Schreinerei Schröder, Kaiserslautern

Paraphrased and translated from German. The owner’s economic estimate, not measured revenue. n3tz supported the handover during the pilot.

Business succession in the trades

During a handover, you do not need to digitise the entire company on day one. Start with the knowledge held by the current owner or a few key people. Griffi can turn it into a maintained knowledge base and traceable cases. Your team reviews what may be said or prepared for customers.

  1. Capture the knowledge

Review services, service area, pricing, exceptions and ownership together.

  2. Approve the rules

Record what Griffi may say, prepare or only pass on as a question.

  3. Take over the cases

Enquiries, callbacks, quote drafts and invoice drafts remain traceable in the customer case.

  4. Test the new workflow

Check normal, edge and conflicting cases with the former and new owner.

What belongs in the first knowledge base

  • Services and clear business boundaries
  • Service area, opening hours and availability
  • Prices, fees and approved wording
  • Responsibilities, escalations and open cases
  • Information source and last review date

Griffi supports the handover of everyday operating knowledge. It does not replace professional costing, the new owner’s decisions or a complete trades ERP.
